Keep praying

I was to emotional to write when we received the call that her counts were still too low to continue on so I did not update the blog. I am under control once again with the help of God and prayer. In the scheme of things it is just a delay ... right... at least the chemo is working. I prefer to look at the glass as not only half full but also very rosy in color. :-)

Liz will have labs on Thursday and we are praying that she will begin the second half of this DI1 phase this Friday. She is feeling good and has had a few good days with her cousin Blake Gerald, Aunt Patti, and Grandma Westhoven. Liz has also had a few friends come over to visit.

Please continue to pray for the following:
ANC to rise
all other counts to not drop
families and children on A5 South
especially for her friends Leah and Alex
The medical staff that works with Elizabeth

Thank you for your caring and prayers. I could not do this without you.

Christine

Hey! They figured it out finally and the counts should come up now. Try to stay positive, and do some fun stuff before you guys go back in! Maybe by the time you get there, Leah will be doing better so she and Liz can hang out.

I'm sure you are feeling devestated and frustrated. How does Lizzy feel about the delays - same as you, worse, better? We will be praying for all of you guys. I'm going to do a food fast today (not liquids since it's so horribly hot out!) up until her blood draw on Thursday. Please let me know what time that is. Remember last time when we fasted in the fall? It worked! Anyone want to join me from the time you read this in Wednesday until Thursday sometime?
Blessings! Lisa

Thought you all might enjoy this prayer by St. Teresa of Avila. Written in the 16th century, it's amazing how it still holds true today.

Let nothing disturb thee.
Let nothing frighten thee.
All things pass away.
God never changes.
Patience attains all things.
He who has God lacks nothing.
God alone suffices.

How is Leah doing? Does she have a carepage website? Since Liz is delayed again, will she be able to attend the cancer camp?

yeah i also would like to know if leah has a carepage or an update website. I hope Liz's counts are well so she can be admitted for her next chemo. I will keep praying for Alex, Leah and Liz as well as everyone else on A5S!

We're praying for you. I'm sorry to hear that you're delayed again and I hope that it's not too long. At least the sun is outside shining. :-)

I am praying for counts to be up for Thursday so Liz can be in on Friday. Keep trusting in the Lord with all your hearts and not on your own understanding. Proverbs 3
