Prayers are answered

Just wanted to update everyone on the boy, Alex, that I asked you to pray for. He was released last Thursday and went home! Amen to prayers.
It is such a blessing and miracle that this wonderful family is allowed to take their son home and enjoy him.

Elizabeth and I spoke with Alex and his mom for about an hour last Thursday while we were down at Children's for her clinic/physical. He looked good and was very happy to be going home.

The power of prayer is an awesome and incredible gift that we can give to someone; to see it in action is a blessing.

Thank you for your prayers for my family and the people that I ask you to pray for. We are all blessed and better off for having you in our lives,

Christine

Please pray for the Cowan family. They suffered the loss of their daughter Shelby on 3/15/09, due to a misdiagnosis of the flu, that turned out to be diabetes that caused her to stop breathing and swelling on the brain. Thus she could not breathe on her own and the family was told she would not make it. She had been on a ventilator, but they chose to pull her off of it. Please keep them in your prayers this week...Thanks!

Shelby was a jr. high student at Sycamore. I believe she has three brothers that are at the high school. This is a great loss for this family, friends and community. Our prayers are with them.

Dear Cowan Family...
There are no words to express how we feel for you and your family. We are total strangers but I feel such pain for you. I will pray for you and your daughter for years to come.
