good news!

Hello everyone,

Liz is doing great right now! She just got a massage and we have gotten the results back that there was no blast of leukemia in her spine that she was tested for yesterday! She will still be treated as if there was, however, it is very good news that it was only a small white blood cell. Keep praying though for that one last genetic marker that was mentioned by Kendall. Thank you for all of your prayers. We have had a request for a family picture to be put on here, when Jim is here tomorrow we will take one as long as Liz feels up to it.

Hi Liz-

I play basketball with your Dad and I wanted you to know that I have enlisted the assistance of 54 men and their families from St. Susanna to pray for you and your family.

On behalf of my family, you will remain on our prayer list indefinitely. We pray that Jesus comforts you in times of need; that he guides you in times of want; and that he watches over you always.

God Bless You and please tell your Dad to ask if you need anything from me.

Love,
The Engen's (Dan, Angie, Alex and Austin)

HEY LIZ (aka Dory)!

I still miss you a lot and think about you all the time. I can't wait to see you, which will hopefully be soon. I pray for you each night before i go to bed and i am sure that a lot of other people are praying for you as well. I can't wait until i get to see your smiling face, but until then stay strong and remember all of the people that care about you and want to help you fight through this. You have never been a person to complain about anything, so i know that you will stay strong and fight through this! I love you!

-Brittany

P.S. I'm suffering from lisp withdrawal because no one else at school is as good at talking with a lisp as you and your dad!

Hi Guys,

I'm glad to hear the news that there were no blast cells and that it is the lesser of the two evils. Lizzy, I was also glad to see your smiling face in all the pictures! You are such a beautiful girl, inside and out, and I know God is watching over you. As for your mommy, "Christine, get some rest!" You are still beautiful but those sleepless nights and tears are showing through. Please let me know if there is anything I can do.

I'm thinking of you guys every minute of every day and really appreciate the updates provided on the blog. I know I would be crazy without them!

Take care, and hang tough!

Lothrop family,
Remember "The Shack"? The scene where all the people gather in the darkness and the light and colors of their love zoom toward one another? I'm reading these comments, and I can picture lights from all over Cincinnati, all over the country, even from Shanghai, China! All these lights are converging on a room in Cincinnati Children's Hospital. You are well-loved, by us and by God! Praying for you all,
Carole

Christine, Randy & Lizzie:

Talked with Linda last night and she shared with me the journey you are on. While there are not really words at a time like this, I know you take comfort in the "family" of people who are there, sitting with you in your grief. I am headed to our prayer room at church right now to send mighty prayers to our awesome God. Remember to take care of yourselves so you can keep taking care of your girl. God's mercies are new every morning. You will daily be in my thoughts and prayers. "For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord; plans to prosper, and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
Love and prayers, Gaye Holmer

Hey Liz

You don't know me, but I was a good friend of your Dad's "back in the day". :)

My sister in Cincy just forwarded your website to me, and so I wanted you to know that my girls and I are now praying for you, "WITHOUT ceasing".

God is good, Liz, ALL the time.

Hugs to you, your mom and your dad.

Love, Deb (Templin) Hickly and girls
